On 30th April 2025, young people from MU-JHU, Baylor Foundation Uganda, and JCRC came together as the Youth Trials Board, at the MU-JHU 2 Conference Room to share their experiences in clinical trials and shape how results are shared.
Facilitated by Anne Kakindi ( MU-JHU Community Educator) , the youth reviewed the BREATHER+ study, explored how to explain short-cycle therapy in simple terms, and shared ideas on how to thank trial participants.
Towards the end of the meeting, they worked in groups to turn research findings into clear, youth-friendly messages for posters, videos, and more—making science easier to understand and more inclusive.
