Description & Purpose:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of staff, visitors, and organizational materials while ensuring proper operation, cleanliness, and preventive maintenance of MU-JHU vehicles. The successful candidate will adhere to the organization’s Motor Vehicle Policy, Road Safety Act, and all applicable traffic regulations.

Required qualifications, experience and attributes:
Uganda Certificate of Education (O-Level) with a valid Ugandan driving permit (Classes B, CM, DL and DM). Certificate in defensive driving or basic transport management. Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience in a medical research environment or corporate organizations. A valid motorcycle permit (Class A) is an added advantage. Excellent communication, teamwork, reliability, and integrity are required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate assigned vehicles safely and in accordance with road traffic regulations and organizational policies.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and monitor vehicle condition, reporting faults and ensuring timely servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Safely transport staff, clients, equipment, and project materials to designated destinations.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption records, and trip reports.
• Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and properly equipped at all times.
• Deliver official mail, documents, parcels, and other assigned items promptly and securely.
• Observe high standards of discipline, courtesy, and confidentiality while on duty.
• Be available for duty on short notice, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, based on operational requirements and approved transport schedule

Description & Purpose: The holder of this position will be responsible for transferring documents, samples and collaboration materials/items as well as perform specific errands between collaboration offices.

 Required qualifications, experience and attributes:

• Must have a minimum of “A” level certificate with a diploma in Records Management or equivalent.
• Should have at least 2 years’ working experience in a related field.
• Have working knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in safe and efficient records management structure/system.
• Should possess basic computer literacy including word processing, excel and internet with excellent communication and strong teamwork skill.
• Must understand client confidentiality and exhibit high level of ethical conduct.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capable of prioritizing work demands and demonstrate strong teamwork.
• Good problem-solving skills and analytical skills

Key responsibilities:

• Work well with the team to have a productive and smooth-running records management unit that serves across the institutional mandate.
• Ensure timely delivery of various participant files, samples, laboratory results, correspondences from one section to another in an efficient and effective manner.
• Adhere with section assignment/program to meet the needs of the various record keeping requirements in the organization.
• Ensure that records storage are maintained organized and keeping confidentiality all the time.
• Comply with proper filing system in the file room and other storage in line with records life cycle.
• Assist with maintaining the Archival storages onsite and offsite.
• Prepare files and documents required during audits and external monitoring visits.
• Support in photocopying and scanning of study related documents centrally assigned to the section.
• Deliver lab results from respective laboratories to MUJHU study coordinators or designee.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authority.
