MU-JHU remains a leading contributor among the international clinical research sites (CRS) affiliated with the DAIDS networks and currently is engaged in research with the IMPAACT, MTN, HPTN and ACTG networks as well as funding from CDC, USAID and National Institutes OF Health (NIH) and other non-USG funding such as UK/Medical Research Council (MRC) and European (EDCTP, PENTA network and UNITAID) funded research. MU-JHU has a long history of collaboration with many academic and research institutions locally and globally but our privileged primary partner has long been Johns Hopkins University.
We also have strong collaborations with Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation – Uganda under the John Hopkins University Clinical Trials Unit (JHU CTU)/ Clinical Research Site (CRS); Makerere University Departments of Paediatrics & Obs/Gyn; Infectious Diseases Institute, IDI Core Lab, JCRC, MJAP, University of Washington, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, St. George’s University of London and several other partners over the years.
