Since 2000, MU-JHU has provided HIV services at the Mulago National Referral Hospital; in partnership with the Makerere University College of Health Sciences Departments of Obstetrics/ Gynaecology and the Department of Paediatrics.

MU-JHU investigators have supported the rapid translation of emerging research findings into policy and implementation for more than two decades. Now, with CDC/PEPFAR funding for the Kampala-Wakiso region, MU-JHU supports comprehensive HIV services at the Kawempe National Referral Hospital as well as on-site at the Zayed Family Center at the MU-JHU premises.

At MU-JHU we also provide ample clinic space where study procedures take place. Our study clinics include the TB clinic, the adolescent-friendly centre, the paediatric clinic and the women’s health clinic. We also have an emergency room and children’s play area.
