Dr. Lillian Wambuzi is a Paediatrician, Researcher and the Clinic Division Director. Following her paediatrics training at Makerere University and an additional Masters in Public Health from the University of Manchester, she now has over 10 years of experience in HIV prevention research involving children at MU-JHU.
Dr. Lillian is passionate about the clinical care of children but has recently broadened her paediatric experience into the exciting area of research in child neurodevelopment and neuropsychology.
As the current Clinic Division Director, she provides operational oversight to doctors, nurses, pharmacists and neuropsychologists ensuring the efficient running of the daily MU-JHU research and care activities. She is also a champion of workplace safety and has been instrumental in the planning and implementation of COVID-19 prevention measures at MU-JHU.
