Last year 16th-22nd October 2023, Erinah Kyomukama, Head of the Counselling Section, and Rose Byogere attended a Training-of-Trainers workshop on the Motivational Interviewing Approach to Counselling. The training, conducted by the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) in Denmark, was a great success. Erinah and Rose completed the training and became the first certified Motivational Interviewing Counsellors in Africa!

This moning, they kicked off the second session of a six-part internal training series on Motivational Interviewing for the MU-JHU Counselling Section. Congratulations to Erinah and Rose! Knowledge sharing is a fantastic cornerstone for staff empowerment, unlocking opportunities for continuous learning and skill enhancement.
