Patience Atuhaire, MBChB, MPH, is an investigator with over 10 years’ experience in HIV/AIDs clinical trial and implementation research. Her research focus over the years includes Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV, viral load and long term health outcomes among women living with HIV on lifelong ART during pregnancy and beyond.
She has experience in using of mixed methods in implementation research and envisages developing an independent research career in infectious diseases over the next 5-10 years. She has been the lead principal investigator on the recently concluded PROMOTE Mentee Mentor grant (PROMOTA) and is a co-Investigator on the COVPN 3008 Moderna vaccine trial.
