Kabaka's Birthday Run 2024

Kabaka's Birthday Run 2023

On April 7th, 2024, MU-JHU Care Ltd joined the Buganda Kingdom in an exciting celebration of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II's 69th birthday with the Kabaka's Birthday Run. Held at the Lubiri in Mengo, thousands gathered for 5KM, 10KM, and 21KM races under the theme “Men are stars in the fight against HIV/AIDS to save the Girl Child.”

As part of our 2024 Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, MU-JHU proudly donated 15,000,000 UGX to support this year's run. Additionally, our staff engaged participants with brief talks about our community programs, including Young Generation Alive (YGA), the PMTCT Program at Kawempe, and key ongoing HIV prevention studies at MU-JHU.

Since its inception in 2013, the Kabaka Birthday Run has become a significant event on Uganda's social calendar, addressing critical health issues such as fistula, sickle cell illness, and HIV/AIDS.

Rotary Cancer Run 2023

This year’s theme was 'Run for Hope'.The #RotaryCancerRun23 had a large fundraising goal of about 1.5 billion shillings, which they successful raised. This will make a substantial contribution to the building of a radiotherapy unit at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.
