Commissioner for Maternal and Child Health
Ministry of Health of Uganda

Dr. Jesca Nsungwa is the Commissioner for Maternal and Child Health at the Ministry of Health of Uganda. She has experience in evaluating public health programs and innovations in Uganda and elsewhere. She has done policy, program implementation and formative research and peer reviewed publications. She also served as co-president of the Uganda Pediatric Association. Prior to her work at the Ministry of Health, Dr Jesca served as a peadiatrician in Mulago National Referral Hospital. She obtained her M.D. from the Makerere University of and her PhD. from the Karolinska University, Sweden

Prof. Michael Boivin

Professor and Director
Global Neuropsychiatry Research Center in the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University

A distinguished Professor at MSU, Boivin leads the Global Neuropsychiatry Research Center in the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University. Since coming to MSU in 2006, he has served as PI on NIH-sponsored studies in pediatric HIV, cerebral malaria, konzo disease, and neurocognitive rehabilitation for brain injury in children. He has trained neurodevelopmental and neuropsychological assessment teams in over a dozen African countries.

Jeff Siarto

Professor of Practice and the Interim Director of User Experience
Department of Media & Information, Michigan State University.

 

Dr. Jeff Siarto is a Professor of Practice and the Interim Director of User Experience in the Department of Media & Information at Michigan State University. He teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses focused on designing and building for the modern web. Jeff also works with the Games for Entertainment and Learning (GEL) Lab on improving cloud infrastructure and data analysis support for grant projects. Prior to his full time role at MSU, Jeff led the design team for NASA’s Earth Observation System—a collection of websites, geospatial tools, and cloud infrastructure for distributing earth observation data collected by NASA, NOAA, and international partner spacecraft.

Dr. Lillian Wambuzi

Clinic Director, MU-JHU Care Ltd

Dr Lillian Wambuzi Ogwang is a Pediatrician with special interest in the neurodevelopmental well-being of children. She has had 10 years of child neurodevelopment research experience as site Investigator at the MU-JHU Research Collaboration, MU-JHU Care based at Upper Mulago Hill in Kampala, Uganda. Her vision is to see “Brighter Children” in Uganda and other Sub Saharan countries through early caregiver and institutional neurodevelopmental interventions. Dr Lillian also serves as the Clinic Division Director at MU-JHU Research Collaboration | MU-JHU Care Ltd.

Betty Nyangoma

Clinical Psychologist, MU-JHU Care Ltd

Ms Betty Nyangoma is a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years of research experience in child neurodevelopment and interventions; administering and scoring several neuropsychological tests for children and adults. She has also provided relevant interventions to enhance child health and neurodevelopment and computerized cognitive rehabilitative programs for adults to improve cognitive outcomes among the elderly. Betty Nyangoma has provided local and international training, quality assurance, and control for various neuropsychological tests.

Inclusive Education Assessment and Resource Service Center, KCCA

Ms Annet Birabwa holds a MSc degree in clinical psychology, an advanced diploma in child and adolescent mental health and has worked over 10 years on different research studies and in clinical work. She is a clinical psychologist at the Inclusive Education assessment and resource service center at KCCA and has a vast knowledge in child assessment, educational psychology and therapy.
