Monday 19th April 2021 marked the official launch of the Johns Hopkins -Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) Uganda Hub. This 1-hour event was organized and coordinated by Mahnaz Motevalli (CTU Coordinator) and Priscilla Wavamunno (Associate CTU Coordinator). The aim of the launch was to showcase the Hub and provide information about the resources available for all members at MUJHU and Baylor Uganda Clinical Research Sites.
During this gathering, Prof. Philippa Musoke, the CTU Local Principal Investigator, shared the functions of this Hub and encouraged the Clinical Research Site (CRS) teams from MU-JHU Care Ltd, Baylor Uganda, and its partner lab at IDI Core Lab to work together to make it a success. The Hub will be an office where the CRS teams come to seek assistance, receive training, get various resources and share their CRS experiences.
