Team-buidling events in the workplace are a great method of introducing and enforcing great work culture among staff. It fosters genuine connections, deep discussions and overall fun. In May, the MERIT study office took a break and ventured out to the shores of Lake Victoria for an afternoon of laughter, learning and collaboration. Co-Investigator Dr. Ronnie Kasirye and the core team planned this as part of the study’s staff development plan. Ethan Musolini, a leading HR consultant with Success Africa was on site to facilitate the day’s program and lead the team through a series of exercises designed to explore team dynamics. It was a well deserved break from the usual clinic settings and at the end of the day the team resolution to apply what they had learnt from the experience.
